A picture is worth a thousand words.
With this being the case, I am flabbergasted about how many people (our clients included) don’t realize the importance of including an image or video with EVERY Facebook post. A picture is worth a thousand words, ESPECIALLY in social media marketing!
In September 2013, Facebook increased the size of the images showing up in every post. Econsultancy performed a study with three test cases and found a 135% jump in the number of click-throughs resulting from the larger images. (Source) This is ON TOP OF the increase that was already received just because there was an image included!
Being the active learners that we are, we wanted to find out if adding images really did increase the number of click-throughs. What we have found so far is really inconclusive, however we have had a blast creating images specifically for Facebook. (See below)
