I may push some buttons with this post, however in light of all the patriotic American holidays in the summer, I find it important to remind/tell our visitors that Sutton Creative Studios is veteran owned. Whether or not you/we are for/or against the military/war, I don’t believe anybody can disregard the sacrifices our veterans have made for our country. Regardless of the reason(s) the individual enlists, it is important to remember that he/she is leaving behind life as they know it to protect us.
Dave was a reservist with the United States Air Force for over a year before the events of 9/11. Immediately after the tragic events of that day, Dave contacted his recruiting officer and requested to go active. This was his choice, not a forced circumstance. Over the next six years, Dave was deployed multiple times, lived in locations all over the world and United States, and as of now I (Kim) am sure there are places he has been that I don’t know about. We did not meet until 2010, however I wish I had been there to support him through all his time on active duty.
While searching for contractors/employees to fill their hiring needs, I strongly encourage every American business owner to seriously consider hiring a veteran. After returning to civilian life after serving our country, many veterans find themselves without a job, struggling to survive, and suffering from post traumatic stress disorder. With the help of small business owners such as ourselves, veterans can find once again find their place and a means of survival in the civilian society.
Regardless of Dave’s veteran status, this post does not, in any way, serve to represent our opinion regarding past or present military or war efforts. Our intention with this article is strictly to inform our followers of our veteran status, as well as to possibly help any veterans out there who may be struggling with unemployment.
