Monday-Thursday, 1pm-3pm… What does this time period mean to you?
Post-lunch nap time maybe?
That’s not quite what we’re talking about, but for those who are trying to not fall asleep at work, social media may be the answer!
If you’re trying to get the biggest audience for your social media campaigns, studies show that 1pm-3pm Monday-Thursday is the best time to get click-throughs for posts on Twitter and Facebook. (Source) The same study also showed that the worst time to post is after 8pm on these days, and after 3pm on Friday afternoons.
Are you wondering what the best day to post a blog article is? Monday! In fact, Monday through Thursday are the best days, with each day lessening in influence through the week. (Source) Unlike Facebook and Twitter, however, 8am-12pm is the best time to blog based on the number of social shares.
If you are spending a lot time researching content for your Twitter, Facebook and blog updates, make sure you’re not posting at times when maximum visability will not be achieved. Blogging websites such as WordPress and Blogger will allow you to set your publish date and time. Twitter apps such as Hootsuite, Tweetings and Tweetdeck allow you to schedule your tweets for optimal times as well.
